Job Duties:

The Support Worker will be responsible for providing care and support to individuals in a care home settiing. Duties include assisting with personal care, administering medication, and supporting individuals with their daily activities. Managing challenging behaviour and be able to de-escalate crisis situation

Required Qualifications:

Qualified as a Care Worker, certified in Team Teach, and holds a valid First Aid certification.

Education:

Minimum of a Care Worker qualification.

Experience:

Prior experience working as a Support Worker or in a similar role within the education and training sector.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong knowledge of personal care practises, medication administration procedures, and the ability to provide support to individuals with diverse needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional certifications in relevant areas such as Safeguarding or Mental Health First Aid would be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

The Support Worker will work in an care home environment, collaborating with a team to provide individualised care and support. The role may involve working with individuals with challenging behaviours and varying needs. The ability to adapt to different situations and work effectively under pressure is important.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
