Mental Health Support Worker- Portsmouth
Engage Education are currently working in partnership with an all through school on an exciting new SEND TA position specifically to support learners with Complex Learning Difficulties and SEMH needs in the Portsmouth area.
Starting immediately, the school is looking for an outstanding SEND Teaching Assistant to join them on a long term temporary basis. If the role goes well there is the potential for this to turn into a permanent assignment.
It is a special school for 161 pupils aged 11-16 years who have complex learning difficulties. In addition to their learning difficulties some pupils have other needs associated with Autistic Spectrum Condition, speech, language and communication difficulties and medical conditions.
Your Role:
Supporting learners on a one-to-one basis often with complex learning needs
Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class
Providing feedback to teachers and parents
