Job description
Position Title: Experienced One-to-One Teaching Assistant for Key Stage 2 Child with Autism

Location: Mainstream Primary School in St. Helens (WA9)
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced One-to-One Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a Key Stage 2 child with autism. The ideal candidate must possess relevant experience in working with children with autism and should be equipped to handle the unique challenges that may arise in such a role.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in supporting children with autism
- Preferably holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Ability to commit to a long-term support role on a full-time basis
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm during term time
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to the Key Stage 2 child with autism
- Assist in implementing tailored learning plans and strategies to meet the child's educational and developmental needs
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to the child's progress
- Collaborate effectively with the classroom teacher and other relevant professionals to ensure cohesive support for the child
The essentials:
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Oversea Police Clarence (if necessary) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover last 10 years of employment and education.
