Job description
Prospero Teaching would like to recruit a confident and innovative Primary School Teacher to teach in Year 5 at a large, vibrant school in Manchester.
Are you looking for a long-term teaching role from September 2024? Prospero Teaching is working with a 'Good' primary school in Manchester, that requires a teacher for Year 5 for autumn term, and potentially ongoing after that. You must have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally upper KS2.
You will have full class responsibility but will work in partnership with the class teachers in the parallel Year 5 classes, as well as the rest of the staff team in school, who are welcoming and helpful. You will need to have good curriculum knowledge, effective behaviour management skills and a positive, encouraging teaching style. This is a great opportunity for an ECT or an experienced teacher to join a dynamic and caring staff team. Initially this role is for one full term, but there is a good chance for an ongoing or permanent position following a successful start.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:
It is essential that you have QTS and experience working in a UK primary school. You will need to have taught in Key Stage 2 and have good knowledge of expected attainment and progress through the KS2 year groups. You will also need to have up to date Safeguarding training. You can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.
To be eligible for any role with Prospero Teaching, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.20
- Provide professional references which cover the last two full years
