Job description

Prospero teaching are currently looking for Tutors with SEN experience across Sefton.

We are looking for inspirational and engaging Tutors to provide support to students who's need cannot be met in a traditional school setting.

The successful tutors will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver bespoke learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis. A therapeutic approach may also be needed to re-engage students with their learning. The aim is to provide the students with structure in their daily routine and to continue their educational development, ultimately helping them return to an educational setting.

Contract/Position Details:

  • Location - Sefton
  • Position - Tutor
  • Start date - ASAP
  • Duration - Ongoing
  • Minimum rate of pay - £25 per hour
  • Hours - Flexible working hours available

Experience, Training and Qualification:

  • QTS / QTLS / PGCE / EYTS or equivalent
  • 2 years experience working in a UK school
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding and Prevent Awareness training is desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience working with SEN

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
