Job description

Role: Learning Support Assistant

Hours: 8am - 4pm Mon-Fri

If you have previous experience with young people as a support worker or as a caring role, you may be a great candidate for this role!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing learning materials and organising classroom activities.
  • Provide hands-on support and supervision.
  • Foster individual development and engagement with the world.
  • Adapt to various classroom roles, indoors and outdoors, based on individual requirements.
  • Lead activities, facilitate outdoor experiences, and ensure safety during exploratory outings.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in running exciting lessons & maintaining a clean and safe classroom. 

Requirements:

  • Experience in executing planned activities aligned with pupil interests and curriculum (desirable).
  • Strong teamwork skills, coupled with the ability to share ideas and collaborate effectively.
  • Passion for working with neurodiverse pupils, particularly those with SEMH.
  • Experience working with young people with SEMH is desirable.
