School Office Manager

Start Date: September 2024 (or sooner if possible)

Location: Blackburn, Primary School

School: A sought-after Primary School in Blackburn is seeking a highly organised and experienced School Office Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the smooth operation of the school's administrative functions and contribute to the overall success of the school community.

Role Overview:

  • Position: School Office Manager
  • Start Date: September 2024 (or sooner if possible)
  • Contract Type: Full-time, Term time plus 2 - Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the school office, including reception duties, correspondence, and record-keeping.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks such as student admissions, attendance monitoring, and staff scheduling.
  • Manage the school's database systems and ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained.
  • Liaise with parents/carers, staff, external agencies, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team with administrative tasks and projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a school or educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
  • Proficiency in IT and experience using relevant software applications (e.g. , Microsoft Office suite, school management systems).
  • A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
