We are currently assisting our client school in Redbridge, conveniently located near Fairlop Station, in the recruitment of a passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their SEN Department on a permanent basis.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our client school's SEN Department. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and can achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assist SEN students with their academic work, helping them to understand and complete tasks.
- Support the SENCO and teaching staff in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
- Collaborate with teachers and other LSAs to ensure the needs of SEN students are met effectively.
- Help SEN students develop their social skills and independence, both in and out of the classroom.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, and provide feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN, is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs and helping them to achieve their full potential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to adapt to the individual needs of each student.
- A willingness to undergo relevant training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in working with SEN students.
- Graduates are preferred, but candidates with relevant experience and qualifications will also be considered.
- Must be willing to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
