SEN Teaching Assistant | £90-105 Per Day | Coalville - LE65 | ASAP Start | Long Term & Full Time
Are you passionate about education and making a difference to the development of pupils with a range of special educational needs?
LTF Recruitment are partnered with several Primary Schools within Nottingham and the surrounding area who are in search of an SEN Specialist TA to join their dedicated team of support staff. The role will involve working alongside either a KS1 or KS2 pupils with SEND where you will be offering your full support within a mainstream setting. The schools are looking to expand their SEN facilities, to ensure they can provide the highest quality education to those who attend. These full-time roles are available for an immediate start and for the right person will be made permanent.
Main duties will entail:
- Working closely with the SENDCo and class teachers to encourage interaction within lessons across the curriculum, updating them on the child's academic, social, and physical progression.
- Working with students requiring additional support both on a 1:1 basis and within smaller group environments.
- Taking responsibility for the provision of care and appropriate learning opportunities for your designated child.
- Supervising children at all times, protecting them from dangerous or harmful situations.
- Liaise with the child's parent/carer, providing them with a daily activity record.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of level 2 teaching assistant Qualification
- Previous UK experience working with children in a school environment.
- An excellent understanding of special educational needs including ASD, ADHD, challenging behaviour, and developmental delays.
- Calming mannerisms in challenging situations.
- The ability to think and act quickly both as part of a team and independently.
- Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
