Job description

About Us: We are an "Ofsted GOOD" Alternative Provision focused on supporting secondary students (key stage 3 & 4) with Autism, Learning Difficulties, Mental Health challenges, and more. Our nurturing environment fosters growth and development tailored to individual student needs. 🌱

Position Details:

  • Location: Maida Vale, Northwest London (NW8)
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Daily Rate: Paid to scale M1-UPS3 💰

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with secondary-age students (KS3 & KS4)
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons 📚
  • Experience working with students with Special Education & Mental Health Needs
  • Strong subject knowledge up to KS4, preparing pupils for examinations 📝
  • Excellent classroom and behavior management skills 🙌
  • Effective communication with staff, parents, and students 🗣️

Responsibilities:

  • Teach KS3 and KS4 Science (Physics, Chemistry, and/or Biology)
  • Adapt lessons for varying learning needs 🎓
  • Collaborate with students, parents/carers, and staff to ensure student progress 🤝
  • Implement EHCP requirements into lesson plans
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to track student progress 📊
  • Contribute to improving long-term outcomes for students 🌟

Qualifications:

  • QTS or equivalent (Unqualified Teachers with relevant subject experience considered)
  • Valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the update service 🔍
